Teacher charged with having sex with student

FRIENDSWOOD — Police arrested a private school teacher Thursday on charges that she had sex with a 17-year-old student along a deserted road in December.

Jill Lewis, 26, of Dickinson, is being held in the Galveston County Jail on a $30,000 bond after she turned herself into investigators Thursday, police said.

Lewis is a journalism, speech and computer teacher at Living Stones Christian School in Alvin, the school’s Web site said.

No one answered the phone at the school’s office late Thursday and efforts to reach the school’s principal for comment were unsuccessful.

Friendswood Police Chief Bob Wieners said the school is aware of the charges.

An anonymous tipster called CrimeStoppers and told about Lewis and the student, Wieners said.

Police allege during the second week of December, Lewis and one of her male students met in Friendswood and had sex off a dead-end road, Wieners said. That’s the only occurrence police know of, he said.

Sex on a deserted road? This begs a question; were they doing it right on the pavement (ouch!) or did this happen in some sort of hot teacher sex-mobile? Also, I wonder if the charges would be more serious if the road wasn't deserted. Hmm...

Kelsey Peterson update

Boy in Teacher-Sex Case Back in Neb.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A 14-year-old illegal immigrant who fled to Mexico with his former teacher has reunited with his family in Nebraska, his lawyer said Thursday.

Amy Peck said her client arrived Wednesday after the Department of Homeland Security gave him humanitarian parole, a seldom-granted measure that lets people into the country temporarily.

The boy, who was born in Mexico, left Lexington with his former teacher, 25-year-old Kelsey Peterson. Peterson is accused of having sex with him and is in custody facing federal and state charges.

Boy, I'll bet this kid is so happy to be back in the states. I predict he'll go straight to work as a day laborer in some cornfield.
